Junior Saloon Car Championship race winner Frankie Taylor will make his Ginetta Junior debut with new team SVG Motorsport this season.
Taylor has committed to a two-year plan, with the aim to challenge for the title in his second season in the championship.
“It’s a big step up to the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship, but I still feel very confident,” he said.
“In my first season in the championship with SVG Motorsport, my target is to try and get at least one podium finish.
“I just need to gain experience and put my mark down for next year, as this is firmly a two-year plan for us.”
The 15-year-old will compete with SVG Motorsport, a new team to the Ginetta Junior paddock but not unfamiliar with the manufacturer. SVG has been running in various Ginetta championships since 2016, and will this year compete in the G40 Cup and Ginetta Racing Drivers Club as well as the Junior championship.

“He was definitely on for a top three points finish until injuries sadly ended his season early.
“Throughout the year he showed great speed and commitment and with a full season he could show his full potential. SVG Motorsport are excited to be joining the most prestigious paddock in the UK and we are looking forward to helping Frankie achieve his goals.”
Taylor finished fifth in the 2018 Junior Saloon Car Championship, taking a double victory at Brands Hatch early in the season.
