Total Control Racing has confirmed Ethan Hawkey will continue with the squad for his first full season in the Ginetta Junior championship.
Hawkey competed with the team at five rounds in 2018, taking a best finish of eighth in the final race of the season at Brands Hatch.
The 16-year-old looks set to build on that experience with his first full season in the championship. Making his first appearance of the year at the official test session last week, Hawkey finished fourth fastest overall, just 0.328s slower than pace setter James Hedley.
Hawkey is the fourth driver to be confirmed for TCR’s 2019 Junior line-up, joining Ethan Brooks, Theo Edgerton, and Will Rochford.
Kuwait driver Haytham Qarajouli also ran with the team during the test last week, but so far has not confirmed his plans for the upcoming season.
