Junior Saloon Car Championship race winner Ben Kasperczak will make his Ginetta Junior debut with In2Racing at Brands Hatch this weekend.
The late deal means Kasperczak has had no testing experience in the rear wheel drive car ahead of the opening round of the 2019 Ginetta Junior Championship, describing the event as his “biggest challenge yet”.
“I am very excited and proud to announce that I will be racing at Brands Hatch this weekend, round one of the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship with In2Racing,” the 15-year-old said on social media.
“I would like to say a huge thanks to Bobby Thompson for sorting out the last minute deal and also thanks to my family and sponsors who have made it all possible.
“I only found out [about] the opportunity last night, so I have no time for testing and I have never driven a RWD car before. This is going to be my biggest challenge yet!”
Kasperczak may have no RWD experience, but the 15-year-old has two years’ car racing experience already under his belt. He made his car racing debut in the JSCC in 2017, competing in six races before a full time campaign in 2018.
Last year, Kasperczak took five victories over the season to finish eighth overall and held the record for most poles and most fastest laps.
Kasperczak takes In2Racing’s line-up to four cars for its first race in the Ginetta Junior championship, as he joins Josh Rattican, Zak Taylor, and Roman Bilinski at the team.
In2Racing is already well known in the TOCA paddock, having raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup, as well as Porsche Super Cup, Historic Racing, and the GT Cup.
