The opening Ginetta Junior race of the weekend was cancelled due to wet conditions at Croft.
Race one, which was due to take place at the end of the day, had already been delayed due to multiple red flags in other series, brought out by bad weather and accidents.
The race started behind the safety car, with pole sitter James Hedley leading the parade of drivers around the wet Croft circuit.
After a lap, the race was red flagged and abandoned. It’s unlikely to be rescheduled to run tomorrow. British Formula 4, which also had a race abandoned due to treacherous conditions this afternoon, has confirmed it will not run it’s race 2 on Sunday due to the tight schedule.
The abandoned race could be rerun at another event.
