Ginetta has revealed a shortened calendar for the 2020 Ginetta Junior championship.
The series will oonce again run on the British Touring Car championship support package but will only race at nine of the 10 BTCC rounds.
Ginetta Juniors will be absent from the June BTCC meeting at Oulton Park, which has clashed with GCSE exams in recent years.
“Following the drivers experiencing clashes between a race meeting and important GCSE examinations in recent years, the decision has been made to miss the Oulton Park meeting in June, to ensure drivers can focus on their education,” Ginetta said.
The 2020 season kicks off in March at Donington Park, which takes over from Brands Hatch as the season opener.
The Brands Hatch Indy Circuit round will follow at the start of April before the first of two visits to Silverstone.
Thruxton, at the start of May, will be the last round before an extended summer break until Snetterton at the end of July.
Croft and Knockhill will host rounds six and seven in August, before a visit to Silverstone’s international circuit in September and the season finale at Brands Hatch in October.
