Reigning champion James Hedley is among the five Ginetta Junior graduates selected to compete for the inaugural British Formula 4 championship scholarship.
A total of 13 drivers have been invited to tomorrow’s assessment day at Silverstone, where their on and off track skills will be tested.
One rising star will win a prize worth over £35,000 to aid their first season in single-seaters, while one runner-up will also win free registration for the 2020 F4 season.
Hedley will run with JHR Developments for the test, alongside fellow Junior graduate Josh Rattican, GT5 racer Abbi Pulling, and karter Luke Whitehead.
Roman Bilinski, who has already confirmed his placement on next year’s grid, will be the lone Arden driver at the evet, while Zak O’Sullivan and Casper Stevenson will race with Carlin and Double R Racing respectively.
Elsewhere, all four of the drivers who made it through to the Porsche GB Junior finalists were Ginetta Junior graduates. Harry King, Luke Browning, Louie Foster, and Lorcan Hanafin were shortlisted from over 60 drivers to run at the shootout last month.
The successful driver, who will be announced later this week, will receive £85,000 towards two seasons in the Porsche Carrera Cup.
