Daniel Ricciardo Series Rookie Cup winner William Vincent has signed for Elite Motorsport for the 2020 Ginetta Junior Championship.
Vincent, who has aspirations to race in the Japanese Super GT championship, is the fifth rookie to join Elite for the upcoming Ginetta Junior season.
The 16-year-old also has an interest in engineering, and has secured a place at Silverstone’s Motor Sport College.
“I love the buzz and adrenalin of racing, which I think I get from my dad who is still very involved in the sport,” Vincent said.
“I am looking forward to racing the Ginetta at some brilliant circuits next year and really want to thank my family for supporting me, particularly my dad and grandad.”

Vincent has enjoyed a successful karting career, culminating in the Rookie Cup victory in the DRS. He finished 15th overall in the 2019 championship, with a best finish of ninth in the Fulbeck final in September. He also claimed four rookie wins to claim the rookie cup.
“I am delighted to welcome William onboard in our 2020 Ginetta Junior squad,” said team owner Eddie Ives. “William clearly has racing in his blood. He is an excellent addition to the team and I can’t wait to start our testing programme to hit the ground running for round one at Donington Park.”
Elite has now confirmed five drivers of an expected six-car line-up for 2020. The team has so far announced no returning drivers.
