Frankie Taylor is set for a second season in the Ginetta Junior championship, after confirming a continuing partnership with British Touring Car Championship squad Team HARD.
Taylor made his Ginetta Junior championship debut in 2019, initially racing with SVG Motorsport before switching to Team HARD in the closing stages of the season.
The 16-year-old told Ginetta Junior Update at the time the switch was in preparation for a strong 2020 campaign.
Announcing his 2020 plans on social media, Taylor said:
“My first year in the Ginetta Junior championship was unreal and a massive learning curve. It was amazing to have the support of so many of you, including my sponsors because without them it wouldn’t have been possible.
“We have big plans for 2020!
“I am excited to announce that I will once again be joining the Ginetta Juniors on the grid and continuing our relationship with Team Hard.
“We are growing as a team and are welcoming Claire Murdoch as management and Steve Megson, who is experienced in running Ginettas.
“My goal for 2020 is owning those podiums, to never stop learning, and topping that table.”
Frankie Taylor finished 17th overall in the 2019 championship, with a best result of 10th at Brands Hatch.
He made his car racing debut in 2018, competing in the Junior Saloon Car Championship, where he took fifth in the final standings.
