2019 Scholarship winner Ethan Brooks will miss the start of the 2020 Ginetta Junior championship due to budget restraints.
Brooks finished 12th in the overall standings last season, despite missing two races at Thruxton, and was one of the drivers who made the most progress from the start to the end of the season. He picked up two podium finishes at Brands Hatch and was battling at the front of the field in the closing rounds of the year.
The 15-year-old had not yet confirmed his plans for 2020, but was widely expected to spend a second year in the championship.
“I’m very sad to announce that we have not go the budget to make the start of the Ginetta Junior Championship this year,” he said. “I still can’t believe the year I’ve had and it still feels like a dream that I don’t want to wake up from.
“It’s disappointing as I felt like we could have battled for the championship given our pace and ability from last season.
“This won’t be the last you see of me as we have some exciting opportunities later in the year with Ginetta and beyond, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to help.”
Anyone interested in finding out more about sponsorship should contact Brooks.
