Georgi Dimitrov claimed victory in the second Ginetta Junior race of the weekend, leading an all-rookie podium.
The Richardson Racing driver made a strong start to jump pole sitter Tom Lebbon off the line and was able to build a small gap as Joel Pearson attacked Lebbon for the runner up position.
Pearson was briefly able to find a way past Lebbon, bringing team-mate Aston Millar with him, but the scholarship driver bounced back and re-took the position the following lap.
As Pearson turned from attack to defence, Lebbon was able to chase after Dimitrov. The two finished just 1.016s apart, but more than 12 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
Pearson found himself at the front of a multicar train as he tried to keep the final podium position. He kept up a good defence until the closing stages of the race, when team-mates Millar and Josh Rattican were able to slip past.
Millar joined Dimitrov and Lebbon on the podium, making it three rookies from three teams in the top 3.
Alastair Rushforth Racing driver Zak Taylor put in a stunning drive from 11th on the grid to take sixth ahead of Seb Hopkins and Freddie Tomlinson.
Race one winner Bailey Voisin ran into problems early in the race. He had been running inside the top 10 when he was forced to pit. He did manage to get back out but continued at the back of the field and finished 19th.
William Aspin and Josh Miller completed the top 10.
