Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner Tom Lebbon qualified on pole for his maiden car race at Donington Park.
Lebbon swapped fastest laps with Richrdson Racing’s Georgi Dimitrov and Bailey Vosin throughout the session but his 1m25.490s in the closing stages of qualifying was enough to put him on pole.
Vosin took second, 0.185s behind, with Dimitrov taking third.
R Racing’s Aston Millar was one of the first drivers on track and was in the battle for pole early on, but dropped back to fourth by the chequered flag. He starts ahead of team-mates Joel Pearson, Josh Rattican and Freddie Tomlinson.
A number of drivers had their fastest lap-times deleted due to exceeding track limits, including Alastair Rushforth Racing driver Aston Millar, who qualified ninth, behind Williams Vincent.
Sebastian Hopkins completed the top 10.
