Tom Lebbon dominated qualifying and will start both races from pole at Thruxton.
The Ginetta Junior field could only handle a handful of quick laps around Britain’s fastest race circuit before the times began to fall away.
Lebbon was quick to get onto pace, beating the time he set in this morning’s free practice session to manage a 1m31.684s lap.
Championship leader Bailey Voisin will start alongside him in the first race of the weekend, having lapped just 0.088s slower than Lebbon, while two consistent quick laps put Freddie Tomlinson on the front row for race two.
Tomlinson’s best time of the day was only enough to put him third fastest overall, however, and he starts alongside team-mate Aston Millar.
Seb Hopkins and Josh Miller took fifth and sixth quickest, ahead of Tom Edgar.
Edgar will start the second race of the weekend from fourth, alongside Voisin and ahead of Millar and Miller.
Zak Taylor qualified eighth overall while Josh Rattican and Joel Pearson completed the top 10.
Track limits were an issue for most of the drivers. Many had lap times removed but all were able to keep the car on circuit for their quick times.
Third in the championship Georgi Dimitrov was one of the drivers not caught out by track limits, but he could only manage 16th overall.
