Dimitrov victorious in red flagged race two

Georgi Dimitrov won a heavily disrupted second Ginetta Junior race in which two red flag periods disrupted running.

The second red flag, brought out by a four-car crash at Luffield, brought an end to the race, which Dimitrov had led from the start.

Dimitrov had snatched the race lead from Voisin off the line and pulled away from the battle for the remainder of the podium as Joel Pearson, Tom Lebbon, and William Aspin fought for position.

Freddie Tomlinson joined the fight but contact with Lebbon sent him spinning into Pearson.

Lebbon dropped down the order as the safety car came out, only for the race to be red flagged so the cars could be cleared.

Dimitrov led Voisin and William Vincent on the restart, though Josh Rattican swiftly came through to take third.

Lebbon, who had dropped back to 15th, was also on the move. He had climbed up to 12th by the end of the first lap after the restart and was trying to make his way further forward when he was caught in the four-car crash. Lebbon was sent into a barrel role, the car ending upside down, while championship newcomer James Higgins, William Aspin and Joe Wheeler were also caught in the incident.

The red flag was brought out again and the race called.

Dimitrov took the victory ahead of Voisin and Rattican.

Vincent took another strong result to finish fourth, ahead of Tom Edgar, Seb Hopkins and Aston Millar.

Will Jenkins and Tommy Pintos completed the top 10.
