Jamie Osbourne returns to the Ginetta Junior championship after a two-year absence.
The 16-year-old will run with Assetto Motorsport for his second year in the championship.
Osbourne made his debut at the start of 2018, racing with WDE Motorsport, the same team that ran brother Sam in the Renault UK Clio Cup championship.
He finished 20th in the overall championship, missing the Knockhill round of the season – the same round of the BTCC calendar the Clio Cup didn’t support that year.
While Sam would go on to make his debut in the BTCC the following season, Jamie took two years out.
He now returns to the series with Assetto Motorsport, taking the team up to four cars for the 2021 season.
“I have known the Osbourne family for a ew years as Sam was a Clio Cup regular and team-mate to my daughter Jade,” said team boss Jim Edwards.
“I always kept an eye on Jamie’s progress and I’m delighted to bring him into our team. I am confident that Jamie’s previous Ginetta experience and testing programme will see great results in 2021.”
