Callum Voisin secured his second win of the season after a post-race penalty for Tom Edgar.
Edgar had climbed up to the top of the order after a scrap with Liam McNeilly, Will Jenkins, and Voisin. Contact between Edgar and McNeilly knocked the Fox Motorsport driver down the order and Edgar was able to climb up to the race lead.
Edgar shook off the rest of the field and extended a gap at the front of the order before Voisin managed to secure second.
Voisin was closing the gap to Edgar on the road when the safety car was brought out for an incident further down the order.
The race could not be restarted before the time allowance ran out and Edgar took the chequered flag P1.
The incident between Edgar was McNeilly was investigated after the race and the on-track race winner was handed a 1.026s penalty, enough to put him behind McNeilly in the standings.
Voisin was promoted to the race victory, with Jenkins taking second and McNeilly rounding out the podium.
Post race penalties swung the other way for Voisin in race two. A mechanical issue already denied the R Racing driver P2 on track, as he crossed the line fourth overall. Unfortunately for Voisin, he then failed the post race scrutineering and was disqualified from the race.
Aston Millar was also handed a small time penalty to drop him behind Josh Miller in the amended results
