Applications for the 2022 Ginetta Junior Scholarship are now open.
Ginetta is once again giving the opportunity to win a seat in the upcoming Ginetta Junior championship.
The prize includes the use of one of Ginetta’s G40 cars for the entirety of the season and an experienced team to run the car throughout the year. Insurance, a season supply of race and fuel, and a Ginetta race suit will also be provided.
Previous scholars have gone on to race in British GT, European GTs and the Formula Regional European Championship.
2020 Scholar Tom Lebbon made history when he became the first scholar to win the title in his maiden year, and is currently racing in BRDC British Formula 3.
At the end of last year, Ginetta revealed for the first time it would be running two scholars in 2021. Maurice Henry and Robert de Haan have spent the season competing with Fox Motorsport and Richardson Racing respectively and have already impressed.
Ginetta invites any aspiring driver, born between 1/1/2006 and 20/4/2008 who has not previously competed in a Motorsport UK circuit car race to apply for the scholarship.
As in previous years, the competition will take place at a three-day event in early November at Ginetta’s Blyton Park track.
Drivers will be assessed in driving, fitness and media tests.
Entry for the event can be found here.
