Josh Rowledge takes his maiden Ginetta Junior pole position in qualifying at Oulton Park.
The rookie jumped to the top of the order with a 1m44.317s time in the second half of the session, a time that would be unbeatable despite other drivers finding improvements.
Rowledge was able to set another flying lap to top the order of second fastest lap times, securing his second pole of the weekend.
Aston Millar set the pace early in the session with a 1m44.870s. He gradually lowered the benchmark, only to be demoted to second by Rowledge. He ended the session just 0.053s behind the Elite Motorsport driver, and will start on the front row of the grid for both races.
Max Dodds took third with a late improvement ahead of Callum Voisin and Josh Miller.
Harri Reynolds takes sixth, just 0.051s behind Miller and 0.104s ahead of Freddie Tomlinson.
It was a difficult session for the championship front runners. Points leader Sebastian Hopkins could only manage 12th fastest overall. Tom Edgar, who comes into the weekend just a point behind Hopkins, qualified ninth, just behind Fox Motorsport’s Liam McNeilly.
Zac Meakin put in an impressive performance to go 10th quickest.
