Harri Reynolds pipped Josh Rowledge to victory in a photo finish Ginetta Junior race at Donington Park.

The pair spent the entire race battling for position, but it was Reynolds who just had his nose ahead as they took the chequered flag. He finished just 0.068s ahead of Rowledge to take his first victory in the championship.

Starting from pole, Reynolds got a good start and was leading when an off for Flynn McHardy brought out the safety car. The restart went even better for the Assetto Motorsport driver, who was able to escape down the road while Joe Warhurst and Rowledge battled for position.

Rowledge soon made his way back to the front of the battle. He set consecutive fastest laps to close the gap back to Reynolds, leaving Wahurst and Luke Watts battling.

Reynolds defended well but Rowledge swept past to take the race lead with six minutes left on the clock. Reynolds tried to fight back and briefly got ahead, only to out brake himself and run wide, allowing Rowledge back through.

The pair swapped places twice more before Reynolds managed a move around the outside of Rowledge on the penultimate to put himself ahead as they went onto the final lap.

A small mistake for both drivers allowed Warhurst back into the battle, but he couldn’t get between the duo. Reynolds held off Rowledge to take the victory, while Rowledge’s second place secures his position at the head of the early championship standings.

Warhurst took third. After a tough battle with Watts, the R Racing driver made a small mistake and dropped down the order. He was still running inside the top 10 but another off left him stranded in the gravel trap, which only caused local yellow flags.

Aqil Alibhai held off a late challenge from William Macintyre to finish fourth, while Liam McNeilly climbed up through the order after a difficult qualifying to take P6.

Kanato Le picked up seventh ahead of scholarship winner Alisha Palmowski, Adam Brown and McKenzie Douglass.
