Dates for Ginetta Junior Winter Series confirmed

Details of the 2022 Ginetta Junior Winter Series has been revealed.

The championship’s traditional end of season event will once again take place on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit, on November 12th and 13th.

In the past, the Winter Series has been the first hint of what was to come the following season. Between 2012 and 2018, the winner in each event has gone on to finish in the top two in the main championship the following year.

2021 winner Josh Rowledge currently leads the Ginetta Junior championship by 51 points.

“We’re delighted to announce that the Ginetta Junior Winter Series will once again take place this year,” said championship manager Steph Bush. “It has become a very important event on our race calendar and Brands Hatch has proven to be the perect venue for it.

“The Winter Series provides both existing Junior drivers and racing rookies with a lot of track time and race experience across a single weekend. It’s a great way to bring our year of racing to an end and we’re confident of attracting a strong entry this year.”

The Winter Series consists of four races across two days. Each day will feature a qualifying session and two races, with trophies handed out at the end of each race, as well as for the overall top three at the end of the weekend. Separate prizes are also awarded to rookies who have not competed in more than two Ginetta Junior race weekends.

Winning the Winter Series earns a driver 50% off the following season in Ginetta Juniors or the GT5 Challenge.
