Liam McNeilly tops qualifying at Snetterton to take his first Ginetta Junior position ofg the season.

The Fox Motorsport driver topped the order with his first flying lap of the day. McNeilly then lowered the benchmark on his second lap.

He ended the morning with a time of 2m20.080s around the Snetterton circuit, putting him three tenths of a second clear of Sonny Smith in P2.

However, with one of his three lap times disallowed for exceeding track limits, it was McNeilly’s team-mate who takes pole for the second race of the weekend.

Maurice Henry’s second fastest lap time puts him on pole for race two, just 0.048s ahead of Kanto Le. McNeilly placed P7.

Will Macintyre lines up third on the grid for both races.

A late improvement from Le put him fourth quickest overall, ahead of Henry and Harri Reynolds.

Joe Warhurst and Zac Meakin took seventh and eighth while Aqil Alibhai and Luke Watts completed the top 10.

Championship leader Josh Rowledge could only manage 11th quickest.

Freddie Slater, who makes his car racing debut this weekend with R Racing, qualified P12.
