Kenato Le earns his first Ginetta Junior pole position at Thruxton.

The rookie driver jumped to the top of the times with his second flying lap around Britain’s fastest race circuit. Harri Reynolds starts second while championship leader Josh Rowledge could only manage P8.

Reynolds set the pace after the first of three flying laps at Thruxton. His time of 1m31.436s was just under a tenth of a second quicker than Le, who had slotted into second.

But Reynolds could not find an improvement on his later flying laps. Le managed a time of 1m31.317s to go 0.119s quicker.

Second in the championship Will Macintyre was third quickest overall, narrowly beating Liam McNeilly.

After his first flying lap, points leader Rowledge placed sixth overall, and managed to improve one position on his second lap. But others were able to find more pace and Rowledge slipped backwards as the second and third laps were completed.

Sonny Smith jumped up to fifth, before Maurice Henry slotted into sixth, ahead of Luke Watts. Rowledge held onto P8.

Joe Warhurst and Aqil Alibhai completed the top 10.
