Bailey Voisin extended his Ginetta Junior championship lead as Tom Edgar scored his first podium of the season.
Edgar and Georgi Dimitrov battled Voisin for the lead throughout the race, Edgar managing to get alongside the R Racing driver on multiple occasions, but Voisin kept the rookies at bay. Even with the fastest lap of the race, Edgar couldn’t quite get his nose ahead of Voisin, nad finished just 0.118s behind the race winner.
Dimitrov took third, ahead of Josh Rattican, who spent much of the race locked in a battle with Zak Taylor, Will Vincent, and Aston Millar.
Vincent fought well to hold onto fifth ahead of Millar, while Sebastian Hopkins beat Zak Taylor to eighth.
Further back, Tom Lebbon’s difficult weekend continued. The Scholarship winner started near the back of the grid, but had climbed up to 10th by the end of the opening lap.
He was continuing to work his way forwards and was battling Tommy Pintos when he span in the closing stages of the race. Lebbon was able to recover but couldn’t make up many positions so late in the race and finished 13th.
Trennon Bettany claimed his best result of the season in P9, while Freddie Tomlinson popped Pintos to the final top 10.
Full results to follow.
